This imposing sandstone sculpture depicts Vishnu with four arms. Vishnu is one of three principal Hindu deities, trimurti, and preserves the universe. Although this sculpture lacks attributes, Vishnu can be identified by the tiered octagonal crown symbolising the eight universal directions into which Vishnu’s power extends.
