This female representation is seated on a small stool. The arms rest on the upper legs, the elbows forming right angles. The head close to zoomorphism is characteristic of Senufo art. An incised bowl rests on the top of the head and serves as a container for the offerings. The prominent navel is a symbol of life, fertility and protection. Many decorations still adorn this effigy, showing its importance.
