Represented seated in a hieratic attitude, this very beautiful female statue shows a keen sense of balance of form. The angular face presents extremely simplified features. The eyes, represented by fine incisions, are lowered as a sign of introspection. The eyebrows form an arc and meet at the base of a fine, straight nose. The wide-open mouth forms an oval. The ears, placed high, are drawn in points towards the outside. The young woman has numerous scarifications on her face and body. The head is topped with a crested headdress.
The body is punctuated by a remarkable dynamic of forms, associating tense curves and inclined planes that are strongly inscribed in space. The conical breasts seem to spring from the small chest framed by broad shoulders with rounded lines. The arms, slightly bent, are gathered along the body while the hands are placed on either side of the protruding abdomen. Solidly anchored on her stool, with her legs slightly bent, the figure is dressed in a traditional loincloth.
